I am preparing a dissertation on the Belgian surrealist poet Achille Chavee and, more precisely, on his "Spanish past".
Achille Chavee, a great poet, was also a member of the Belgian communist party. When the time called for solidarity, Chavee joined the International Brigades and probably was active in the Barcelona events.
I say "probably" because when Chavee returned to Belgium he always refused
to explain his role in the Spanish process he referred to as a "hidden past".
Could you give me any useful information on him and his action in those years?
